Evening all...quick AIBU...as well as a full time job I run a small catering business from home, cakes, buffets etc.

I have been asked to do a buffet for a friend of a friend but they are now saying oh Aunty such and such is doing quiches, someone else is bringing something else can you just do the rest...
I'm trying to build up my business inc. taking photos for a website etc...
AIBU to not want to put my name to something that I haven't had full control over?

Am I cutting off my nose to spite my face by saying I'll do all or nothing??? Thanks :)

Hmm tricky. I think if you could do a very definite part of it, it could be ok- you could have a little sign, saying "sandwiches provided by Strawberrylion."

It seems a shame to turn down the custom, but perhaps you could explain the problem to your friend.

I agree with treesprite. You need to get the party organiser to be very clear what it is she wants from you, and then decide if it's worth your time and money (eg travelling to the venue, petrol, etc.)
