DD is turning 5 in about a month, and I need to get moving with planning her party. Would love to get some ideas/suggestions. Here are our parameters:
-
Central London location - looking for a fun/good location that works well. I've already been to enough birthday parties at Pizza Express to know that I'm looking for a more inspired choice.
-
Expect we'll invite about 20 children (dd's class, and a few other friends), so party at home is not possible.
-
Single mum, so difficult to do a church hall as there aren't extra hands to help with general logistics - decorating, food preparation and overseeing the kids. Also, seems that most mums drop/go, so don't feel I can count on them for pitching in.
-
Anyone know any kid's party planners that do food and entertainment? Not looking to go mad with exorbitant expense, but fortunately can spend to hire in help in absence of dh/dp, and other family members who aren't around to help.
-
Any inspired themes other than the normal princess/fairy/butterfly angle that dominate? Of course, at this age, maybe that's exactly what they want and it's just us parents who are looking to be a bit more adventurous.
-
Any recommendations for entertainers, clowns, face painters, etc?
I'm looking for ways to make the party fun for dd/her friends without giving myself a heart attack. Any ideas/suggestions hugely appreciated.
