We played Beetle at our halloween party last year, a group of kids ages from 5-8, all loved it, all joined in enthusiastically. You just need a dice, and pencils & paper.

That one where they put a post it note on their forehead with the name of a sleb and have to work out who they are by asking questions?

Eating chocolate with a fork whilst wearing gloves (or something like that... Hmm)

Pictionary type game if you have a whiteboard?

Are they too old for sleeping lions? That was alsways the final game when I was a kid.

Play 'camels and arabs' - the kids get into pairs and decide which is which, then they walk around the room in each in opposite directions while an adult plays music and turns it off every 15 seconds or so. At this the Arabs have to find their camels and sit on them (camels on all fours). Last pair to sit is out.

Or "corners", number the corners 1 to 4 (or colours) then ask kids to choose a corner, the kids run to different corners, then an adult chooses a card (also numbered 1 to 4/colored). The kids in that corner are out. The remaining kids continue till 1 remains.
