Ive never done this before so I need some help on my decision making! Its for my sons first birthday but there will be alot of older children.

Option 1) Small church hall in town (£50 for 4 hours) plus hire of a bouncy castle for the older kids (£60)
Total venue cost £110 for a 3 hour party with bouncy castle

Option 2) Hire of local Childrens Centre (£100 for 3 hours) but with use of outdoor activity area, sand pit, swings, climbing frame, outdoor instruments and bouncing mat thing (its like a small bouncy castle). Its outside in december so might not even be usable. So Ive looked into booking their soft play room and sensory room for an hour (£30).
Total venue cost £130 for a 2 hour party with potentially unusable outdoor area but indoor sensory room and soft play for an hour

Option 2 is better, right?

As a guest, I'd prefer option 1. I go to way too many soft play parties! My kids would love either.

I should add that option 2 includes a hall and the usual gubbins as well as the soft play/sensory stuff. I kind of feel like Im getting more for the money as the older kids can play outside, and the babies inside... but only if it doesnt rain?

Oh, much of a muchness, in that case!

4 hours for the church hall might leave you more leeway for preparation/tidying up. And kids love a bouncy castle...
