I would be really grateful indeed if anyone could help me to think of a good party idea as we have been thinking about it for a few weeks and really are getting nowhere.

Real problem is birthday is 2 weeks before Christmas and so I do not want it at home, if it was in the summer then no problem as we have a big garden, but I can't face the thought of large numbers of kids in my house then!

DS wants a more or less whole class party still, I think he would actually like it at home. I would do it at home if I could think of some way of keeping them outside!

We have had loads of ideas but discounted them for various reasons:

swimming - need 1 adult per 3 kids and we can't find that many willing to go in!

He doesn't want martial arts, fencing, birds of prey, reptile man, bowling, any kind of football party.

We have done mini go-karts, reptile man and laser gun parties before.

He quite fancies a disco but there is already one disco party that week, quite likes 'driving' type things but seems against anything which involves 'races'.

It's also really difficult to get a church hall venue locally too because of the time of year.

I don't really want to spend a fortune and I don't want a really stressful event either, I know...I know maybe you have to pay your money and avoid the stress!

We also have quite a few crazy kids in the class too who just literally run wild at parties.

Thanks for any suggestions Thanks

A friend had a bouncy castle, a buffet and various stations around the room. She recruited friends to run the stations. There was a face painting area (buy the stuff from ebay), a decorate a biscuit place with tubes of icing etc (bring dust sheets!) and crafts. As it's near Christmas, you could have make a card or a decoration. We have had tattoos as a side show type thing. I bought tattoos from ebay and then you just need water, make up sponges, talc and cotton wool. They do tattoos of most characters eg Spiderman. Could a school rent you a room or two?

village halls, also if you could move the date back just a week or so earlier bookings might be easier, too, especially if you can go after school (say
Friday pm). Guide Huts, too. I say go for Disco anyway, with an MC/entertainer who does funny balloons.
