present for 11 year old boy - HELP!

Need to get a small gift (£10 max) for an 11 year old who I don't really know (and I don't know any other 11 year olds either), and I have NO idea what they like/do at that age. Any suggestions would be most welcome, thanks

Gift voucher or cash is your safest bet.
If you truly loathe cash/voucher... urk. Something quirky like magnet game or science experiment, but it's a hard call to find something generic they all like.

box of maltesers and a tenner, or Amazon voucher. something to unwrap, and the voucher that they will be able to spend.

Thanks ragged. I would like to get him a present because he doesn't get many anymore apparently (prob for same reason that nobody knows what to get ). There's a really good toy shop in town, will go there and see what they have in terms of sciency/quirky thing.

Would a top be more boring than cash/voucher? I could get a gift receipt so he could change it (was thinking H&M)

The right clothes would be great but you need to know what he's into.
