What the hell do I put jelly in?

Want to make individual little jellies. Last time I did it though I poured it into paper cases (the kind you use for little cakes) and they collapsed, went soggy and it was a bit jelly mess. What am I supposed to use? Need to be cheap.

I went to a party last week and the mum had made them in plastic cups.

silicone moulds?

Lilymaid · 17/10/2011 16:40

You want waxed paper dishes like those. Not that you have to order them from the Middletons!

I have made them in cheap plastic drinking cups before, you could always get the dc to decorate them with stickers.

Glasses or plastic cups.
I use the small empty nutella glasses as then you can layer it or float things in them and they look pretty.

I use silicon muffin cups, you can get them from Poundland or 99p store!

Can you? I saw the miniamo one's on amazon and they are £4.37 for 12.

The Poundland/99p Store ones are flimsier than the better quality more expensive ones, and the colours are a bit garish but they do the trick and I'm not so precious if I take muffins to hand out and don't get all my cases back! It's 6 for £1/99p I think. You can turn out the jellies onto a plate or eat them from the cups. You can even get heart shaped ones in a pack of 6.

the exact same ones

Why not clear plastic cups? They must be cheaper than even poundland silicone muffin cases?
