What on earth can I do to make it memorable?
I don't think I can really organise a party as an outside venue gets too complicated financially and guest list etc and doing something at home would be tricky to do as a surprise
And I am taken with some kind of effort and surprise involved.

Rent a ferrari for the weekend
Intimate family dinner at home
'This is your life' complete with pictures and family and friends popping in on cue.

I suppose I could ask the guests to gather at a neighbour's house across the road, and then when all gathered they could come over to the party and shout surprise.
Get DH to think he is going to a meal on the SAturday and throw the surprise on the Friday?
Do I sound mad?

Any other ideas of what you guys did?

could you arrange a day out paintballing or quad biking as a surprise? If he's in to that type of thing

I booked go ape for my dh this year and didnt tell him til we got there, he really enjoyed it.
