Ice Breaker Activity / Game

Hi All,

I am organising a christmas / winter school ball for parents and have been asked to look into ideas for an ice breaker game / activity that could be played at the start of the event. People will be sat in tables of 8-10 so the game needs to be played at each table. The idea is to allow people with whom you are sitting to get to know each other. Only needs to take about 20 minutes or so, any ideas?

Each person says four things about themselves (they'll need a few minutes to think about this) - other folk at the table have to guess which one is the lie.

spread some remote controlled fart machines around the place and put the remotes on some people's plates....
