when can i make birthday cake and cupcakes for a party sunday?

they are chocolate cakes. when is the earliest that i can make them?

I would make them with a maderia mix and do it thur and store in an air tight container, I am making a cake today for fri HTH.

You can make a freeze the actual cake and then ice the day before.

thanks, if i make the cakes thurs and frost etc friday will that be ok? i am at work saturday and dont want to leave it til sat night?

I made a train last thur and we had the cake yesterday it was perfect so I would say you will be fine. Just check the weather and if it is going to be very warm make sure you have cool storage for the cakes
