How much do you all think is a reasonable amount to spend on a party? Entertainment, activities, food, venue etc? I'm talking a fair few number of kids, maybe 35.

9y DD just had a climbing party for 15. The cost was £205 for two hours climbing inc a small snack. We paid for food (approx £2 per child) and party bags (aprox £1 per child) on top.

Hulababy So that was 205 plus 30 for food and 15 for party bags? Do you know roughly how much those soft play centres charge? I'm having a party at home but my DH thinks it would be cheaper to have it at a soft play centre but I'm not convinced.

Yes, so total was approx £250-300 for 15

Round here soft play is around £10 a head inc food. Party bags and cake are normally on top. Some can be cheaper, and some dearer. Many have prices on their websites. Some do exclusive hire and others you are in with everyone else. Exclusive hire is dearer bu imo much more preferable. However, although dd has been to soft play parties int he past we have never had one.
