Parties/celebrations

Whether you're planning a birthday or a hen do, you'll find plenty of ideas for your celebration on our Party forum.

So - apart from musical bumps / statues & pass-the-parcel, what's a great game for a 4th birthday party?

sleeping lions - google it

go find me ...... a teddy, some keys, mummies shoe, etc (presuming the parents stay at the party) first one back gets a small prize eg: mini haribo bag of sweets

get several broadsheet newspaper pages and everytime the music stops they have to jump on a square, then fold the square over each time and take one away, last tiny square the winner!

You have to do a treasure hunt. If you want to really impress I'd recommend buying a kit on line from treasure hunts for childrens parties We loved the safari one!

Have Fun!

treasure hunt - we did one with plastic wild/farm animals at ds's safari themed party in April
buy white paper party bags and foam stickers and get them to decorate their bags - nice quiet activity after food
musical chairs (using cushions or pieces of paper on the floor)

wrap the mummy...involves lots of cheap (or expensive if you want) toilet paper! Also passing the balloon though the legs and running to the front...

Oranges and Lemons
Hokey Cokey

Balls/balloons+space

We got ours to sit and make their own crowns. Glitter, glue, pens etc. Kept them quiet for ages Grin

Also an egg hunt in the garden (it was Easter)

bouncy castle

hide and seek, if there is no space for them to hide, then you hide a specific item and they have to find it.

Hook ducks.

Skittles.

egg and spoon race. (you can use potatoes as eggs)

sack race.

any form of obstacle course.
