Party bag - boys homemade alternative fimo bracelets I'm making for the girls?

The kids are 4 or 3/4 (ie preschool nursery) and I'm doing a little fimo bead bracelet for the girls, with their names in beads threaded on it, and was thinking of doing a personalised fimo badge for the boys, but are they too little to have a badge with the sharp pointy brooch thing on the back? Seen some "safety catch" type ones on a craft site but I dunno...feel a bit dubious.

Is there any other thing I can craft from fimo with their name on that they would wear - can't really do a necklace cos of the safety issue as well (I'm not neurotic but some things you just steer clear of when they are so little).

Or is it fine and I'm just being overcautious? Maybe someone knows of a badge fitting that is totally acceptable?

Ideas please?

You could make it more of a 'surfer' style bracelet - thread the beads onto black leather thong with little silver spacer beads, so it doesn't look too girly. Lots of boys and men wear them.

I think if you avoid pink and glitter the boys would like them just as much.

DS at 3 or 4 definitely wore bracelets.

my 3 nearly 4 yr old ds would wear anything as long as it has no pink or purple (they're girls colours don't you know) on them. black/white pirate (with glitter) would go down well.

Or you could do them all personalised bead keyrings to put on their nursery bags. Key rings are very popular with small children it seems.

Ooh yes a keyring. My DS wore a piece of chalk with two holes in it we found on the beach for a week until the chalk fell apart so small boys are not averse to jewellery I think
