School Reunion Organisation - Help Please

Myself and a couple of other friends are prganising a school reunion for August this year, when many of us will be 50!

All is going well so far. We have...
Hired the venue
Arranged the disco
Have a capable chef (within our group) to handle the cold buffet.

I think we realise the hardest part is going to be rounding up classmates from far and wide - hopefully we have allowed ourselves enough time.

Have any of you any experience to pass on please?

Oh and how will we sell tickets?

can you use facebook? set up an event then invite everyone. use paypal to receive the ticket money.

We are just worried it might be a flop. Please someone tell me yours was brilliant!
