So, my sweet Ivy is turning 1 in a week, and we ageing rockers are planning a Rock&Roll themed party this Sunday - I've got a couple of ideas for music and games, but looking for more suggestions, the weirder the better!
What I've got so far are:
The Who's "Kids are Alright" and "My Generation" - DEF! And one of the contests will be The Pete Townsend, with inflatable guitars.
I've thought about a paddling pond and a ramp and various toy cars.
The piñata will be record-shaped (gold record, maybe!) which is a bit Keith Moon - Sheesh! Didn't any groups besides The Who do interesting things?
OK, possibly too interesting: Would it be too sick of me to make bat-shaped biscuits for the kids to bite the heads off?
Ham sandwiches, maybe? I know the Mama Cass story is apocryphal, but in my lexicon, hilarity trumps pedantry.
A little more staid:
Kiddie jam session
Name badges that look like back-stage passes
Buffet table with full-sized deli slices and half-sized slices of bread (that's a bit obscure for most people, I suspect)
Prizes for: Best Dressed and Best "Hotel Room Redecoration"
More music ideas? More games ideas? More food ideas?
Thanking you, ta
