Twins 7 yo

My twins are going to be 7 in May and they have moved to a new school. I want them to make friends and are planning a disco with games in a church hall.

We had a magician last year, which was okay, but is this okay for their age group. Any other ideas would be welcome.

I've just booked a church hall with a disco for my DD who will be 7 in June. She specifically asked so i booked early. Her friends have been talking about her disco party for weeks now. Our school also had a Valentines disco which had kids from 4 - 11 years old attending both boys and girls. We are only inviting girls this year though as last year some of the boys were too embarrassed to dance at another friends disco's and i have invited the whole class 2 years running now and it is expensive.

I would go for it. If some don't like to dance then they join in later with the party games which most DJ's organise.

Last year we took the class on a river boat cruise which went down very well, stopping for fish n chips on the quay and a game of tug of war etc. I shared with 2 other mums and it was great. They are mums with boys hence why we aren't sharing this year as they all want different things.

Another idea as they are all either 7 or about to turn 7 is to have a circus skills instructor come and show the children how to balance feathers and spin plates, use diablo and limbo dance plus lots of other cool things. They would also do a show for the children to watch. They could learn to make balloon models too possibly. Just an idea!!

I'd book as soon as you have decided as I had to change my venue and day as both hall and DJ were already booked on DD birthday!
