Party bag idea!

Hi, I'm new here, just wanted to talk to some mothers about something that has been on my mind..

I want to start up a little business or hobby at home. I'd like to fill children's party bags and sell them on the web. I worked out costs, and there would be different types of party bags. For example, one of them would consist of a slide puzzle, fun snap cards, pack of four crayons, mini harmonica and a bouncing spinning top!

I was planning on charging £1.99 for each party bag, plus £1.99 p+p or can come and collect for no charge :). Each bag would be in a cellophane bag wrapped with ribbon.

Would YOU buy this for your children? I need people's views!

Thank you!!

There are already companies that do this - have you checked out the competition?

I toyed with this idea a while ago and realised there is just way too much competition. Check out part pieces - one of the best on the web imo

That'd be party pieces

Far to much competition.
And far to expensive four quid for a party bag. No thanks.

Loads of companies already offer this service. Plus it is nice to customise party bags for the type of party, so you will have to offer lots of different types. Don't think it is a viable business TBH.

It's just too expensive

say I book softplay for a party - £8 per child , then do my own party bag, even £1 a bag bumps up the cost by £20
