Build-a-bear parties - worth it?

DD has said that she would like a build a bear party for her 5th birthday.

I'm worried that as it will have to be at a weekend, that her little party will just get swallowed up in the Saturday shoppers. Also I don't fancy trying to get everyone to somewhere to eat and it all seems a hassle. Is it like that?

I know there are party companies that do bear making, are these better?

I have recently treated my daughter to a Create a Bear Party from www.createabearparty.co.uk, its a similar idea to 'Build a Bear' however you can have your parties in the comfort of your own home and it is much cheaper. I went to my local supermarket and put on a little buffet for the girls, which was again much cheaper then taking them to a restaurant. The service from the website was great, the people who run the website were very efficient and helpful. I was worried at first about the quality of the bears as I was just buying them from a image on the website, however I was very plesantly surprised. They were lovely and soft, everyone loved them. We also made the most of the freebie downlables from the site. The girls had a wonderful day and I would recommend the site to all :)
