I thought parties had long gone as I've done days out with friends for the past couple of years, but my children want a party this year and want to invite most of their class. Eek!

What do I do to keep them entertained?

If the weather is ok then mostly it would be outside, but I need inside stuff as well just in case.

I have no idea - help! Please.

Boys or girls?

How many approx?

earwicga · 19/02/2011 15:28

Both and about 25 children, hence the need for outside! May be less if I can get the list down.

Hmm - For that number of children, I would be inclined to have the party at a local park, with finger food/cake provided on tables under a pavilion/covered area.

Bring along some other Mums/relatives, or hire a few teens to help with games.

That way, your house won't be destroyed.....

Disco? Hire a local hall and a dj?
dd went to a disco party not long ago, for an 8 year-old.

I like the disco idea, but too pricey at the moment.

Park idea isn't great, as loads of other kids would join in I think.

I do have a large yard and there is a barn, if it isn't being used.

I'm thinking that it's a no goer, but it's been such a shit time recently that I would like to please them iykwim. But I suppose I don't really want to entertain that many kids for ANY length of time.

Thanks for your ideas though.
