Magic Party Ideas

I am planning my DD's 8th birthday party which she is sharing with a (boy) friend. They want a magic show but they are a sophisticated pair! So I am looking for a good kids' magician who will not do what they consider baby stuff, e.g. balloon animals and books with disappearing pictures. I know I can ask them not to do those things, but I'd like someone who would do things like smashing up a watch etc. They think they will get someone cut in half but I think that is a bit extreme! It is in London NW. I have booked the venue but also need magic-themed supplies such as invitations, plates, napkins etc. I can't find them anywhere. At the moment I am planning on homemade invitations and using gold or silver plates etc. Any ideas or recommendations welcome.

You need a magician that does adult close up and cabaret as well as children's shows so that they get the right balance.
Sir Nitwit would be perfect if he'll come to your area. If not ask him if he can suggest someone else as he's a member of the Magic Circle and will have lots of suitable contacts. Tell him Jolly Dolly recommened him!

Nor with the party girl who is far too grown up for such stuff. Are you allowed to advertise like that on here?!
