Dd's birthday is on the 5th Jan and we said she could have a party this year. She says she wants it on the Sunday before her birthday which is the 2nd.
Would you groan at getting an invite on that day or do you think the Sunday after would be better?

Ok speaking as a mum and childrens' entertainer here - the weekend after is the weekend everyone wants as some of the Christmas birthdays delay their parties to the New Year too. If you're hoping to have an entertainer, book a hall, soft play etc you may find they are booked up. If you're planning a small party at home, you may just want to make sure your party doesn't clash with anyone else.

As a mum I'd be more than pleased to get a party invitation at that time of year. After two weeks of holidays I believe most parents would be more than happy to send their children off to a party!

Thanks! I did think that parents might be pleased of a couple of hours without their little darlings!
I am hoping to book a local leisure centre with a bouncy castle then just play party games!
