Need Advice! What sort of party for 5yr old girl?

My DD birthday is in early Feb, I know its 3 months away but I feel I need to get a bit organised as some venues do book up. I am having a dilema as whether to have the party at a soft play (new one has opened but is pricey at £14 per head, min 10 kids, plus food wasn't great although they have just opened so maybe having teething probs) or hire the local village hall or just have it at home (my husband not keen on at home because of the hassle and mess).

My DD really wants a Princess themed party and I did enquire about one at a party venue and they quoted £280 (max 12 kids), seems expensive.

Can anyone give me some advice as I really want to give my DD a special 5th birthday but don't want to go over the top with costs etc.

Thanks
M

I would be taking dd to Eurodisney instead for that money, perfect for a princess.

Thanks for your advice, we went to Eurodisney last year and was a bit disappointed to be quite honest. Bit pricey. Think I am going to do an old fashioned birthday party at home with maybe a party entertainer as I don't have any family and very few friends nearby to help.
Cheers
M
