Has anyone had an adult birthday party without having a DJ?

It's my 30th party in January and just wondered if I really need a DJ. What did you have instead?

Depends on the size of the room, but we just had a CD player for my 40th. Was fine.

Thanks for replying :) I might ask the place if anyone else has used a cd player in the room that will give a better idea. There'll be 80-100 guests and I think the room can comfortably hold 100.

If you've got a home hifi system, you might want to consider using that, making sure it is covered away from the home on your home insurance.
