DS2 has been invited to a party on sat at soft play centre. Ivite has been on the side for weeks.....kept meaning to rsvp, and today thought MUST DO THAT NOW!! obviously the invite is now lost and I cant rsvp.

I wil ltry to catch the mum tomorrow at nursery, but I am not really sure who the mum is, as the invites were handed out in a bit of a rush during morning drop off and I didnt take much notice of who it was....Blush

So. If I cant manage to catch her tomorrow....do I take ds to the party, or not? When I have had parties before, I have expected all to turn up so have done party bags for everyone even if they didnt rsvp....often some dont come and most do, but only a few ever tell me either way...

Is it more annoying to go or not to go for the mum if i havent rsvp'd?

depends if it's a party organised by the soft play, or whteher they're just meeting up there iyswim?

all our local soft plays do parties and you have to have numbers in advance so they can do food...

if you don't see the mum in the morning you could always write a note and ask nursery to put it in her son's bag?

Can you not write a note and ask nursery staff to pass it on?

Wouldn't bother me too much but I do remember on here a poster who turned away a child who hadn't RSVP'd.

I think it is the soft play that is organising it, yeah I thought they might have to let them know in advance. Bum.

The kids dont really have book bags they all have their own peg....I was wondering about hanging a note in an envalope on the childs peg....but seems a bit weird and elaborate!! I could ask the teacher to give a note, but it isnt really her job and although she's lovely, I dont want to be a pain in the arse...

at the soft play parties we have had we could pay for any extra kids on the day even if we had given the expected numbers in advance. Hope you managed to get hold of the mum today.
