Derby mums - party entertainers, clowns etc any good ones?

Yellow pages are provng to be a bit of a minefield and just wondered if anyone could recommend a good child's entertainer. My DS will be 4. Any ideas greatfully received as his birthday is getting close and yet again I am disorganised!

Anyone in Staffordshire?

Sparkle. She's fantastic! 01332 730830 / 0775 4411946 We have used her for DD and so have some of DD's school friends. I think she did DD's 5th or 6th birthday. We had it at home, 25 children and she kept them all completely in order. It was only after she left and I had to feed them and wait for parents to turn it, it started to fall apart, otherwise it was a very stress-free party.

I first saw her doing half term entertainment in Nottingham's Victoria Centre and she had kids of all ages completely enthralled. She may still do those sessions.

She has an entry in Equity Children's Entertainers Directory as Miss Carrie Louise Stack. I think I searched that using 'Derbyshire' 'balloon modelling' and 'magic' from the picklists if you want to know more.

Aunty Happy was popular for parties when DD was young. We had her for DD's 3rd birthday, I think. Her face painting leaves something to be desired by the kids were completely thrilled!

Just a bump for this-does anyone have any recommendations other than Sparkle (she's great but we've been to 5 Sparkle parties since September!) ? The other entertainers we've encountered have been scary to say the least....
