Hi, general concensus please... some of our neighbours have hinted to those of us with children that they will not answer their doors if children come around on Sunday - will your children be going round on Saturday or Sunday? I know it's officially on Sunday but realise some people may not want to be called upon!! Thanks.

why i wonder? what's so bad about it being a sunday?

DooinMeCleanin · 28/10/2010 14:46

We are having our party on Saturday evening. Although this si as much for my sake as for the childrens. Hosting children's parties leaves me with an irresistable urge to drink copious amounts of alcohol.

Plus we are doing a charity walk with our local vets. I own a Whippet and the money is going to the local Greyhound(and other sighthounds) rescue. So I have concluded that we have to do it. It has nothing at all to with wanting to see all the cute little dogs dressed up. Not at all Grin (I will be taking pictures if anyone is ineterested)

Oh the charity walk is on the Sunday, hence why it would interfere with Halloween plans.

Not sure, southeast!! LOL at your post, Dooin! Love greyhounds, any dogs in fact, and yes, a glass of wine definitely needed! Was thinking of doing the "rounds" Saturday followed by party of some sort (and also I think if it runs a little late it won't matter so much as it's not school the next day), so do you think it would be okay to do trick or treating/party on the Saturday? Thanks.

no, halloween is on Sunday so that is when you should go out. I wont be giving out stuff on Saturday.

Point taken, Seona! I think our street is divided with some going tonight and some going tomorrow - will have sweets at the ready for either night here!!!! Thanks for all posts. Smile
