My DS is having his 4th b-day party in a few weeks. There will be 14 boys attending and 4 girls.

The party bags will contain:

Slice of cake
packet of sweets or 2
balloon (which DH will blow up at party)
gift of a toy car for the boys (costing about £1)

But I am at a loss as to what I can put in the girls bags for about £1 ?? I had thought about nipping into Claire's Accessories and getting some hairbands but they wanted £3.50!!
The only other option I can think of is a book but we have done that previous years so wanted something more "girly".

Help!! Any suggestions ?

Have a look in H & M they have Hello Kitty bubble bath and things. They should have bobbles or hair bits and pieces too.

Poundshop has whole packs of hairbands and generally girly junk.

Try www.thecuriouscaterpillar.co.uk they do great paper party bags with tissue and lovely bits inside for only 99p. I bought some for my sons birthday party, they are amazing quality for the price..

Thank you, some great suggestions there for me to look into.

DD is 4 and would love to get a car in a party bag - why not just get them all the same?

Pound shop have loads of girly things for £1.00 - hair accessories, notebooks, pencil sets - that don't look too cheap and tacky.

Sainsburys also have some nice craft kits for £1.25 - you can make a little peg doll and stuff like that.

Have you got The Works near you - also good for stuff - maybe a sticker book.
