Sleepover tips please!!

Hello, we've just moved house and my DS1 is really keen to invite his best friend from his old school for a sleepover.

I've never hosted a sleepover before, and DS1 has only ever been to one himself. Does anyone have any tips to make it a bit special - (and survival tips for me!!) I'm assuming we have to do a midnight feast at least.
The boys are both 8 and DS2 is 6.5 so he'll be joining in too.

We don't do midnight feasts, but we do let the children stay up a bit later and eat popcorn in front of a DVD. They'll never go to sleep at a normal bedtime anyway, because they'll be too excited, but this has the added benefit of calming them down before bedtime, but also seems like a treat. Quite often our DTs (5.5) will fall asleep in front of the DVD, whilst DD1 and her friend manage to stay up later. We also hope that the later night will make them sleep a bit later in the morning (but that's usually in vain ).

Hot dogs and chips for tea.

Play outside in the garden till the light goes.

DVD sweets and popcorn on their own with the big TV under a blanket.

Bed with torches and Nintendo DS if they have them.

My DS1 and his pals who is 8 likes to get the airbed up and sleep in the same bed.

Expect lots of giggling and telling them to go to sleep lots which is all part of the fun.

Leave them to it really, but do make sure they have a wee before bed.

Expect grump knackered kids the next day. I think the guest has to be gone at about 10.30/11am the next day or it all starts to get a bit tired and tense.

Not a midnight feast. A 10pm feast for that age, at the latest.
