A clown - pyjamas with pompoms sewn down the front of the top. If you haven't got plain PJs, use the PJ trousers with a plain tee shirt. A bit of face paint and maybe a hat of some description, voila.

Acrobat or tight rope walker, if you have any leggings/vest top that would fit him. Maybe draw a curly moustache on him with eye liner. If you have a hula hoop, juggling balls or long "balancing" stick that would make a good accessory.

Was going to say knife thrower but perhaps not the best idea Grin

Or you could hark back to the animal circuses and send him as a lion (yellow clothes, face paint, paper "mane" round head?)

I have to sew Shock

I could probably manage the pom poms Grin

I do actually have some leggings that would fit him. I could probably get a vest top to fit him - how would you make these clothes look like an acrobat?

Strong Man, tights, vest with a deep V cut out by you, drawn on curled tash and make some dumbells

Strong Man is a brilliant idea. You could even draw on some pecs or chest hair under the vest (or is that inappropriate?) For dumb bells - put some CDs on each end of a stick?

Or, a Pierrot - white face, drawn on tear, hat if possible, stripey "French" top, dark trousers. (Easier than pom pom type clown - IF you have the right clothes...).

when I said Pierrot, I meant Mime really

Thank you very much everyone, I shall sit and think about it all!
