DS2 is having a Disco for his 11th Birthday. I have decided, to save money and waste, that i won't do party food but have a few snacks if wanted ie crisps, popcorn and maybe biscuits.
Do i need to mention this on the invite?
Party is 2pm-4.30pm if that makes any difference. There will, of course, be plenty of drinks!

I think you do need to say so on the invitation. I think most people would assume that a party means full on party food, unless otherwise stated.

No.

Crisps and biscuits are food last time I looked.

No one actually has a meal between 2-4.30pm, anyway.

Perhaps you could call it a 'disco party with snacks' that way you are saying that you're not providing a meal without actually saying it iyswim

Disco party with snacks is a good idea, thanks.
