Hello.

I am Mittz.

Today, I am mostly eating....Granola...

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 31/08/2010 10:21

LOL Mittz, i can feel your relief from here Grin. I am so impressed by your ironing capabilities. Do you have a press thingummy? My MIL (who runs a B&B) swears by hers.

I have been pretty bad too this weekend Blush, but, but, but......I have already been to the gym, run 5.5k, 15 mins powerplate and 100 sit ups, plus a load of washing and 2 work phone calls. No weighing for me until friday as i know it would throw me into a fit of eating despair.

Hurrah for lovely weekends all round Smile. Lizzy, surely your walking will have burned loadsa calories and Norma, flirting requires a huge amount of energy Wink. However i suspect Mucky wins with her amazing skating Smile

DIB - is DS excited about going to school? Is he going straight from nursery into reception or has he been to preschool there?

Trills - very Envy of your curry and loving the baileys freebie. Ours used to do that and also always play Jean Michel Jarre, so you ended up eating your curry at 100 miles and hour Hmm

Well done Jet on the essay. Does this mean you are all finished now?

VinegarTits · 31/08/2010 10:29

morning i drank too much wine last night and amused myself by laughing at the saddos on chatroulette, lots of wankers who asked to see my tits so i drew a pair of breasts on a piece of paper and showed them Grin then laughed at myself, i drew a cock and an ass too, i was very bored last night and it kept me amused Blush

Lizzy what walks did you do? i was in Grange on Sunday morning looking for a non existent car boot sale Hmm there is a lovely walk called hamsfell near Grange, you can see the whole of the bay when you get to the top its beautiful

morning everyone

DreamsInBinary · 31/08/2010 10:42

Grin Mittz

I was up ironing until gone 1am over the weekend, and thought of you. I watched some dreadful film called Paradise Lost, assuming it was a modern take on Milton. Nope.

DreamsInBinary · 31/08/2010 10:45

Get you, Crispy!

DS is so excited. His nursery is totally separate, but we have been on a few visits to the school. He saw the sand pit filled with giant plastic insects, and his heart was won.

TrillianAstra · 31/08/2010 12:27

I wear things that don't need ironing. Understand Mittz ironing lots in return for money but not DIB doing it at 1am.

DreamsInBinary · 31/08/2010 12:32

It wouldn't have been so bad if I had been ironing my own stuff, Trill, but I was ironing DH's shirts (incl the ones that have been hanging unironed for months weeks) and the childrens' clothes that have been on the pile for ever.

Actually, scratch that, women's clothes are way harder to iron than mens.

TrillianAstra · 31/08/2010 12:37

Womens clothes are harder to iron than shirts, it's true. Childrens clothes do not need ironing, not unless they are going to a wedding or something.

VinegarTits · 31/08/2010 12:39

Trill you big scruff Grin

my laptop has just leaped out of my hand and bounced on the landing Shock macbooks are unbreakable i tell you, it was a good investment buying one with a solid state hard drive, because of the amount of times i have dropped it Blush

The finnster is very excited about starting big school tomorrow too DIB Grin

i have to go out and buy wonder web to hem his trousers

MuckyDucky · 31/08/2010 12:40

I have just had to cancel ds' trip to his dad's. which means that i have to cancel my plans for the weekend. I am not happy Sad I am very not happy Sad.

VinegarTits · 31/08/2010 12:43

Sad mucky why have you had to cancel? can you get a babysitter for the weekend?

MuckyDucky · 31/08/2010 12:47

woul, dnt put the babysitter through the behaviour that i have been getting. ds punched a mirror this morning and has been simply vile. Even an hour on the phone to his father has not given any behaviour break. I made him ring his nan to say he wasnt coming for his one night sleep over. She was in tears. bless her. Nother fault but i need to sort this behaviour. Sad

Will not cancel tickets and willbride dsis to babysit if i can get his behaviour settled in time. not hopeful though Sad

DreamsInBinary · 31/08/2010 12:58

Oh Mucky, i'm sorry to hear that. If I lived closer I would jump at the chance to babysit.

Trill - in full agreement on childrens' clothes and ironing, but unfortunately the nice ones (bought by other people) with pintucks and stuff require an iron.

TrillianAstra · 31/08/2010 13:23

That's annoying Ducky.

What's a pintuck DiB? Is this another one of the things I need to learn in order to be a grownup?

NormaSknockers · 31/08/2010 14:48

Trills if you're a scruff so am I, I never buy things that need ironing as I can't stand it, I iron all DHs shirts in one go about once a month (he has enough to last him) & even then I only iron the sleeves as his stabby goes over the top Grin

Oh Mucky :(

Lizzylou · 31/08/2010 15:13

Crispy, go you, you fitness guru.

Vinny we did a walk round Hawes on Saturday (in sun and showers, v bad for my frizzy hair but lots of cheese from the Wensleydale shop) and the Arnside to Silverdale walk, which was fab. Bit scary as the cliff path is narrow and I was worried about my clumsy self boys, but lovely weather and beautiful scenery, I waved at you across the bay Smile

Ducky, oh no, have you got ruined plans now?

I only iron when absolutely necessary and DH irons his own shirts, though mainly as I am crap at ironing.

Have got the boy's haircuts done, booked mine for Thursday, got school shoes and done some gardening, boys now out on bikes. Have a lovely green tea though am wishing it was a G&T.

Lizzylou · 31/08/2010 15:14

Norma, am unnaturally excited by a stab vest wearing DH, no wonder you two are so frisky, shan't ask about the handcuffs Wink

NormaSknockers · 31/08/2010 16:00

Grin Lizzy, I have to admit when he's in full uniform (usually leaves the house in just trousers & shirt) I find it hard to restrain myself, I set his panic button off once Blush

This was taken a few years back but it's one of my fav photos of him I drool a lot when I look at it Blush

jetcat · 31/08/2010 16:02

Grin Lizzy! Have i missed you were at the Lakes?Envy

Sad mucky, i hope you can get things sorted.

Crispy, finished this course. For my OU degree (Humanities with Literature) i need to do 5 (as i have some credit transfer). I have now done three, starting a creative writing one in October, then a Childrens Literature one next year, then i will finish. So, i have one year to get myself pulled together enough to apply for a primary PGCE to start the next year. Hmm

I do think i am getting a little better (feel free to tell me if i am kidding myself though Blush) and my lovely cpn is getting me to meet with her team's work co-ordinator, to sort out some sort of voluntary work. I could do that myself, but the benefit of doing it through her is that I dont need to explain as to why i may be a bit hit and missBlush

Oh, and I know its early, but i need to plan re xmas. The girls are going to their dads on xmas eve morning, and not coming back till boxing day nightSad I need to sort something for me, as i will be going out of my mind i reckon! ANy thoughts?

jetcat · 31/08/2010 16:03

wow Norma, he is lovely!! You made me spill my coke with setting his panic button offGrin

mittz · 31/08/2010 16:07

Jet...may I ask why they can't spend Christmas with you lovey? I have no wish to upset you but can you not alternate between you and their Dad's? I know they have the bigger family but surely you need to have some christmas memories with them. Please forgive me if I am out of line but I hurt on your behalf.. Sad.

Will have a hard think.. you definitely deserve some Christmas cheer. xxxxx

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 31/08/2010 16:09

Opps sorry about that Jet Grin It's lovely to see you back & well done on your course you're doing brilliantly!

Bum about Christmas :( Is there anyone locally at all you could go to on Christmas Day? Or have someone over? Or stay in your pyjamas, watch loads of crappy DVDs & delay your Christmas celebrations til the girls are home?

Lizzylou · 31/08/2010 16:11

OOh Norma, no wonder you set the panic button off!

Hey Jet, we were at PIL's caravan in Ingleton from Thursday night, was lovely. Back to reality and washing/sorting males out now though Hmm

Hmmm, Christmas day alone, why are they going for so long? Could you not get them back on Christmas Day afternoon? Have to say I would have a book and DVD athon with lovely food and wine in your place.

NormaSknockers · 31/08/2010 16:11

Trying to reply to you btw Jet but bloody FB just keeps giving me a blank screen Hmm

jetcat · 31/08/2010 16:21

we are trying to alternate Mittz, last year was the first one, as prior to that when his mother was alive, we all went to her house. That was not fun. So, last year, they went to his on Christmas Day night, so they spent xmas eve here. That way we all got to spend some of xmas day with them. But, this year, xmas falls on his normal weekend with them, and his sister and father are insisting they they spend xmas eve with them - i dont think ex is actually that bothered. So, he is picking them up on the Friday morning so grandad can see them before he hits the pub and bring them bac normal time on sunday.

I havent even figured out what to do about santa yet. We have the pantomime on the 21st, coming back home on the 22nd, and that is as far as i have got. A wine and dvd marathon sounds nice, non-alcoholic obviouslyWink

jetcat · 31/08/2010 16:25

no worries Norma, fb has only just let me back on! I dont think i would go to someone elses for xmas day again - i have done that in the past, and always felt like a spare partBlush I would love to help out at a xmas for homeless or something like that, but there would be too many people i think.

Will give it more thought. And will stop harping on about it on hereBlush

Glad you had a nice time Lizzy, i love the lakes, and dont go nearly as often as i should - considering i dont live too far. I keep dreaming about doing the Settle to Carlisle train run - does that make me a saddo?Grin
