Insurance for childrens party!!

I've hired a church hall for DS's 3rd birthday party and now I'm told we need to arrange insurance for the party. I'm waiting for the paperwork to come through from the church because I almost can't believe I heard right, I'm surprised they don't have blanket insurance for all the groups that use the hall included in the hire price - but in the meantime, has anyone ever had a similar situation and have ANY idea who might be a good provider of such insurance? Even my home insurance provider (CIS) was surprised.

Thanks in anticipation!

Surely the church should be insured for whoever uses it! Are you having a bouncy castle or paddling pool or something that might not be covered by their insurance?

No idea really!

That's what I thought - esp as the contract is specifically for children's parties. We're not having any entertainment, except using toddler group toys - and all children will have a parent/carer present. In fact there will probably be more adults than children! I think I may just ignore the bit about insurance, esp as wording is 'recommended' rather than 'required'... I suppose the only thing is that toddler groups are members of the playgroup association BECAUSE they are then covered by insurance.
