Ideas needed for craft table at 4 year old's party

Am thinking of doing a craft table for DD's 4th birthday. We will be having it in a church hall and will probably have a bouncy castle too.

I thought we could have plain swords/wands out and stuff for the children to decorate to make their own - and maybe crowns? There will obviously be quite a few 4 year olds but younger and older children too...

Does this sound ok? What have others done for craft tables?

we did crowns and fairy cake decorating last year for dd's 4th.

This year I may do crowns again (we are having a princess and pirnce fancy dress aprty) but am stuck for what else.

I did think of swords but worried they would spend the rest of the party whacking each other and the mums would hate me for sending them home LOL.

Thanks! Have just spent a small fortune in Yellow Moon - am hoping there will be some leftover material to bung in the DCs' craft box to justify the cost!!

oh their stuff is lovely thought isnt it! I have to dsay, I am mean and go to ppound shop or wilkinsons for craft stuff LOL

We don't have a Wilkinson's near here but there's one near my Mum's so will have to take a look next time we're visiting...
