Need ideas for dd's main present - she told me today that she wants to trade her baby Annabel for a baby Born . Surely we can do better than that?

What about Build a Bear? Very popular with this age group

Sorry - did not mean party idea. Meant main birthday present for my dd.

My 7yo DD loves dressing up, you could get something really lovely for a main present. If you want something that lasts what about a child's Pandora braclet (or similar) that you can add beads to on special occasions over time.

Jungle/puppy/pony/ocean in my pocket for my 6 y.o. DD

Or Sylvanian Families (more expensive but so nice, and long-lasting).

Scooter? Roller skates?

Books? Craft kits (|I|'m thinking the sticky mosaic kit for |DD's birthday next week)?

Lego

mine wants a rabbit or a kitten for her next birthday. sorry not much help!

my dd loves drawing/craft/diaries/pens etc. She doesn't really play with dolls or sylvanians etc. They do lots of dressing up though. For her 7th birthday we got her lots of craft things - diaries, a huge pen set, a pen holder, papers etc etc.

Barbie playhouse (super ugly and pink, but my 7 yo dd plays with hers all the time). I got the kitchen/bathroom one (cheaper than the whole house). Dd is also really into all things Club Penguin (you could get a 6 month subscription to the online thing).

My 7 yo DD is really into little things like, pony in my pocket. What about a toddler doll, or both my girls have these and love them and play with them all the time. DD is also really into sea monkeys here.

Hope this helps

Beattiebow dd would love you for your suggestion. We're in Canada on hols and went to a petting farm that sold rabbits and she asked if we could take one back with us!

Is it just me of have Polly Pockets suddenly grown a lot bigger?!

If she's into dressing up what about getting some accessories (necklaces from charity shops, crowns, wands etc) and then lots of different lengths of cloth from somewhere like Boyes or a habadashery. My two make capes and dresses and all sorts out of random scraps of material and things like curtain tie backs (the wide ones not the rope ones)!
