hello, i need recommendations on easy to fit, easy to use kitchen cupboard and drawer locks? with dc1 we used those magnetic ones which looked good (couldn't see them) but i found were a nightmare to open in a hurry!!

TIA!

We bought the IKEA ones, they're dirt cheap, not visible from the outside and a doddle to fit.

Basiscally it works like an internal catch, you can only open the door/drawer a few inches then you have to push the catch to open fully.

I've also found you can open said cupboard door really quickly by pulling at the right speed, not something our 3 year old has cottoned onto, but that could just be the way my DH has fitted them

Be careful fitting ones where you have to drill into the door. DH drilled straight through the middle of his thumbnail. Gave the staff at A&E a good laugh

Be careful once they're on too. DS is a clever little sausage who likes to puzzle a problem for a while before going in for the kill, or in yesterdays case realising he can fit his hand in the gap and reach the spice jars and pull them out one by one!
