3.5 year old boy - recommendation on best reins?

hello

my 3.5 year old boy has a habit of runnning off all the time when we are out an about. we are going to india for 9 months and i want to keep him safe as it is so busy there. any recommendations. was thinking little life backpack with reins? any used these? any other good options. thank you foxy1

We have one of the wee backpacks with a lead. My DS is only 14months and still a bit wobbly on his feet so its not great yet as tends to pull him over if he tries to run off but I'm sure as he gets older it will be much better.

Also I think it is more fun than reins as they can help choose what to put in and pack it (not too much stuff tho - once DP packed so much of DSs stuff in it that when we put it on him he keeled over backwards ) so they may be happier wearing it then rather than reins.

yes i think my little boy will do that. not sure what the best thing to do is. i need to get something as he is always testing me and india is such a busy place.

we have the littlelife backpack with the lead and it's quite nice,. also they can put their stuff in, which is handy!
