Elastic failing in Bambinex nappies

This is my first post to Mumsnet, so please be gentle with me!

I bought 2nd hand Bambineo (pre-washed but never worn) nappies for my son when he was about 6 weeks old and we've been using them now for a couple of months. I think they're great and am so glad I switched from disposables, but unfortunately the elastic that runs round the side of the nappy has failed on a couple of them already. Has anyone else experienced this?

I was wondering if I was doing something wrong when washing them, I store them dry, then do a 60C nonbio wash with 1400 spin most days. They go on the line if the weather's OK, in the tumble dryer if not. I'm hesitant to reduce the spin cycle as then they will take even longer to dry!

Any advice much appreciated!!

The 60 wash could be what's prematurely shortened the lifespan of the elastic, however I have always washed my nappies at 60 and haven't as yet had any elastic failure (some nappies have been used on 2 kids).

How many nappies do you have? I have loads of nappies so they get used in a very large rotation, so each one doesn't get used as often as if I only had 15 IYSWIM.
