Do I want another baby yet? Advice needed!!

I'm 22 and the mum of a lovely,unplanned (!) ds aged 18 months. I'm currently studying for an open uni degree and am posted overseas with my dh who's in the forces. Because of our poor financial situation and my studies etc we hadnt planned on trying for another for a good few years once I've finsihed studying a found myself a decent job, which is all very practical, the thing is I feel so broody!! I keep thinking about not wanting to have a huge age gap between ds and our next child, and how nice it would be to add to our family. Am i going mad?

Your DS is only 18 months, so you do have a while yet before you'd have a huge gap. On one hand there is never a good time, but if you can see a point in the near future where it would be financially much easier, and generally more secure, then it obviously would be wiser to wait.. but hey, not easy to be so practical is it

You're not going mad, you've probably got to the point with your DS where things really are starting to get easier, and he's being more amazing than ever, and you can't wait to have another one. Perfectly normal

i think you should have another one now
your not working anyway and another one wont 'cost' you much

this way you can go back to work when they both go to school if you wait youll have to be off work/ pay lot for childcare later on

i wish i had another one when my ds was younger

but do keep in mind it will be hard to study when you have toddler and a baby
