Bad Dream Pyjamas - help!

just been informed by ds1 age 7 that he has 2 pairs of bad dream pyjamas! Won't wear them so gone from an impressive and useful 5 pairs of PJs down to 3, wouldn't mind if they were on their last legs but loads of wear left in them. Any ideas on how to convince him that these PJs won't give him bad dreams?

Make up a bedtime story involving said pyjamas in a positive aspect

thank you, will definitely give it a go. Could say that Wayne Rooney has the same PJs and wears them every night! He's a smart cookie though with a will of iron so won't be easy

You need bad dream repellant spray. Posh ironing spray works very well (especially lavender), put sparkles on the label and some magician stickers if you can find them.

Or perhaps you could send them away on an adventure around the world so that they come back filled with happy dreams. If you can use photoshop or similar then you could email pictures of pajamas in exotic locations, otherwise just email pictures of waterfalls, geysers, mountain tops, cuddly animals in trees etc. Should take about a week for them to see enough good-dream sights I reckon.

love the repellant spray idea, think he might really go for that, especially if he gets to spray them himself!

Let him sleep nudeydudey for a while. It is hot at the moment. My dd will not wear any sleepwear for love nor money. Even in the snowiest coldest depths of winter.

Bless! this sounds like the sort of logic littlemad would use.

I generally tell him that they are the favourites of his big (and much beloved Cousin) which often helps.

Love the idea of the pj's travelling the world having adventures and collecting good dreams

Mix and match the tops and bottoms as everyone knows that that will break their negative powers.
