baby playing with bottle not feeding !

My 10 week old DS is entirely BF apart from one afternoon feed where he gets a formula (SMA) bottle. He has not been particuarly interested in bottles from day one but now takes 60mins+ to take a feed. He does not get distressed or cry but pushes the teat out of his mouth or rolls it around (the same he does with a dummy) he then suddenly sucks it and will take a bit of milk but then will stop again. I have tried different positions but none seem to make a difference (nor does my DH feeding him make a difference). He also keeps looking to me for the boob ! Incidentally he is just the same with expressed milk...so it is the teat he's not keen on.

Any ideas or top tips to make him take the bottle a little more enthusiastically? We have tried tommy tippee anti-colic/Medula bottles but he does the same with everything.

Have you tried the next size teat? The milk may not be coming out quick enough for him. May not be it, but it's a suggestion

my 11 week old is using advent size 3 teats. she copes quite well with them. You might be able to get a variable flow teat which will let him draw as much or as little as he wants. They have a slot instead of holes and are usually used for babies drinking thickened feeds.
