Hi, I am seriously considering having a 4th and final child! I have 3 under 5 and would want another quite soon to keep them all close in age.

Can anyone who has 4 tell me what life is like - busy obviously!! and how you split your time between them all and how you afford it all!

Many thanks

I have 4 and it is happy chaos Mine are a bit older than yours (8,5,2,1) the parenting i find easy it's the laudry i have issues with!
4 can't be too bad though as we ttc #5!

I've got 3 and sometimes hanker after no.4. However, I'm one of 4 and see how split my mum is now. I think that throwing in another dc when little wouldn't be that different but it gets harder as they get older with different interests.

my parents are still paying off the debts from us going to Uni. 4 adult dc living in different corners of the country mean that we very rarely get to see them. Christmas is fun but a nightmare to fit everyone one in (and as more grand-dc arrive will need to hire somewhere!).

That said - I have fab sisters who will all drop everything if i ever needed them and I want my dc to have that (so maybe I haven't rulled out no.4 completely)

thanks so much for your comments ladies!! Princess the transition from 2 to 3 was pretty easy. I already had 2 under 4 and it was only in the early days with a new born that we had to calm down on our normal toddler groups, activities etc but all back on track now!!

I appreciate what you say loler as that is also my fear about spreading myself too thin and how we will afford it when they get older but at the end of the day I feel that family is the most important thing and I really want a strong close knit family for mine to grow up in and to be there for each other through lifes ups and downs.

I always thought I wanted 3 but feel so unbalanced now I do!! Hope that makes sense and thanks again!
