Does anyone use the itti bitti extra inserts in practice?

Are they worth getting? Bearing in mind that I'm getting a few AIOs because it's really hard work getting two-parters on my DD at the moment because she's 10 months and keeps rolling over and crawling away. I'm imagining she'll be the other side of the room by the time I've swapped the sets over, but I do like the idea of saving a bit of money.

I don't actually snap a new set into the cover when the old set is wet BUT the outers dry so much faster than the inserts that it is very handy having some that are already dry while you are waiting for the washed inserts to dry.

Not sure exactly what you mean but we have 6 outers (with inserts) and 10 extra sets of inserts. Providing it's only a wee and hasn't leaked, I make up a whole new nappy before starting to change DD, then leave the used insert to air before reusing it next time. So I kinda have two outers cycling around during the day - unless they get dirty or really wet, then I'll get a fresh one. Makes the changes a bit easier as we also use a biodegradable liner so it takes even longer to make up the nappy. That way, I can whip one off and the new one straight on.

Plus, it means I don't need to do a nappy wash every day which is brill if the weather is wet.

nope, much quicker to whack on a pre made up nappy on a wriggley toddler than mess about swapping over inserts. I use our extra inserts in pocket nappies or to boost night nappies

the only way I can imagine it working is doing it like PCH and saving this changes outer to re-use at next change IYKWIM, but I can't be bothered TBH, much easier to just grab a pre-made one from the basket each time.

I wish I had more extra inserts actually because I am sad and match the nappy to her outfit so its nice to keep the same nappy on for a while.

I dont have a problem with a wriggly toddler so much becasue I let her roam free between taking nappy off and putting new one on, so can just swap the inserts then.

Thing is about the extra insert is it makes it very economical and its really handy if your out for the day but dont want to take a humongous bag full of nappies
