Cloth Nappy Parties

I dont know about you but when I was doing my NCT class we were shown 1 cloth nappy, everyone smiled and popped it to one side and poured over the disposables.
I now wish (late comer to cloth) there had been an evening on cloth, types, ease of use etc. I am actually wishing there was a cloth party I could go to now because as a newcomer to cloth and not knowing anyone else in person who uses cloth, I am trying to order nappies from the internet without being entirely sure if they will fit, work, be easy enough to teach my husband to change!
Does anyone else feel like this? I wonder if the NCT could build an evening in.

There are nappy representatives around from various companies/nappy websites such as lollipop and fill your pants nappy guru's etc that will come to your house or host parties and even lend you a trial kit.

I go to loads of NCT and NHS antenatal classes and do a presentation on cloth nappies. In my area there are regular nappucinos and cloth nappy events that people can vist to see real nappies.

wherabouts are you? Lollipop have the largest number o advisors around teh UK - contact them and tehy'll put their nearest advisor in touch with you.

Or look on the Go Real website and find your nearest nappy seller.

Many local councils run a nappy trial service and some nappy companies do trial kits by post if you are not near anyone, so you could borrow some nappies to try.

Not sure how west you are but there is a monthly Nappuccino run by H&F council at St Mary's church in Edith Rd. details are on the council website. Many people from K&C attend too although they can't get the RNfL voucher.

Hth,
Kat
