Large wet bag instead of nappy bucket - silly question but advice sought! Thank you

Hi
I am intending to start using reusables and wash every 1 ? 2 days. This may seem like a silly question but as I am limited on space in my home I was wondering does anyone use one of the large Monkeyfoot wet bags as a nappy bag instead of a bucket? I have heard some people say they do this and then put the whole thing (including the bag) in the wash. It would be handy for me as I could hang it on the back of the nursery door.

I have 2 large monkeyfoot bags that I use when we're away from home for a few days. They're really good and would be fine to use all the time instead of a bucket. I would probably do this if I didn't already have 2 buckets too!

Make sure whatever you hook it on is secure enough, I tried hanging it on a door handle till it got too full and the weight pulled the door handle a bit loose!, so I park it in a corner now when it gets full. Think you would need xl rather than large for 2 days worth.

Thank you didn't realise there was an XL I will go for that!! Thanks again

I use one of the close parent xl wetbags instead of a bucket, I just put it on the floor in a corner of the nursery. It doesn't zip like a monkeyfoot one but they are a lot cheaper, and I roll the top over so we don't have any problems with whiffs. I just put the whole lot in the wash.

Yep, I do it - I love MF bags :0) I use an XL bag for storing up to 2 days worth of dirty nappies and I also have a large bag that I take in my changing bag for storing dirty nappies when I'm out and about. I also have a small one for storing moistened washable wipes. Can you tell that I love these bags?!

Me too! I have 2 xl mf bags so when one is being washed I can use the other, also have a medium for out and about and a small for wipes!

I hang my xl bag on one of the towel hooks that fits over the door, haven't ever had a problem in nearly 2 years.

i love mine we use a large for a whole day out, medium for short trips and a small for wipes.

dh recently broke my nappy bucket (fell on it!) so i need to buy a new one.. maybe i should just buy a XL wetbag?
