HA! before I clicked on that, I thought "helicopter?"

"The local authority said the idea was dismissed because it had no educational benefits"

I am blissfully ignorant of such things, DD only being 17 wks old, but A PRIMARY SCHOOL PROM????????????? WTF??????????????

I never had a prom, at least I was never invited to one.

We had one - way back in the dark ages of the '70s - but it was called the "Qually" - short I think for "Qualifiers". And we started it with "proper" dancing which we'd been taught in PE

But no-one arrived in a limo or helicopter - I think my dad may have actually given me a lift rather than made me walk like I did to school normally, but that was the extent of the luxury!

over the top yes but i reckon the kids would quite like that

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2010 15:51

I'll be doing the school run in the helicopter - is that frowned on?
