I wasn't aware that 'by nature women tend to be more competitive than men'. I think genernalised statements like that tell you all you need to know about the quality of that particular survey! Poor standards of the BBC for even running the shit story.

Of course, it's true of some mothers. Someone from my antenatal group wished me 'Congratulations on the tooth!' when DS cut his first one, earlier than most of the babies.

It wasn't as if I was the one working hard to get the tooth coming through...
