Probably no one else as stupid as me, but a warning about lifts and carrying toddlers just in case

DH was carrying dd on his shoulders, went into a lift and dd prodded the pretty, but red hot light fitting - she is now sporting a sore blister on her finger Muppet shop assistant wouldn't let us through to staff toilets to get it under cold water straight away - did only take a minute to get it into some iced water elsewhere, she'll be fine. But didn't occur to either of us to put her down before getting in the lift.

Also, watch the ceiling if your husband is tall.

Write a nasty letter to the shop cc'ing your MP. That is appaulling, its only water! and I am fairly certain she should have filled out an incident report following your accident.

The other thing about lifts is to watch out where the door sensor is (the sensor that stops it closing on people). The one in our local store (now closed) used to be at a level of about 4 ft meaning that toddlers / pre schoolers would go to walk into the lift and their parents would think it was fine - and the lift door would close on them! Also used to happen a lot with buggies getting jammed in it.
