Hi there my DS has just turned 1 last week. He loves his food and has been weaned since he was 5 months old. He is still having milk but just not as much he sometimes crys when he sees his milk as if he dont want it. He has around 2 bottles/beakers a day.
The question i have is do i carry on with the 1yr + milk cow and gate which i have been giving him or should i start him on cows milk now???
I keep getting different answears this is my first child soo a wee bit confused.
Thanks Shell

full fat cows milk is fine from 1 year

cows milk fine, unless he's got a really restricted diet (eg if you're veggie and won't eat red meat/pulses) formula has a lot more iron than cows milk.
I gave both of mine full fat from one

We do cows milk. Much less hassle than formula- out the fridge and go!
Think if there's a varied diet then you don't need formula

My dd was one in March and I moved her straight onto cows milk. FWIW, she only really likes to drink it from a bottle (which I'm trying to get rid of) so I've just upped the yogurt, cheese, white sauces etc.

Thankyou all!!!

I have tried him the last 2 nights with cows milk and he has taken to it great soo think ill move him straight on to it now.
I agree that it is alot more easier :-)
