Heeeelp! DS is 2 and peeing too much for his cotton bottoms to cope with. I don't much rate the cover so a booster won't help I don't think. Thank you.

Cheapest would surely be buy a better wrap and add a booster? A wool wrap is good overnight. Have you tried 2 prefolds together?

MadameCheese · 09/06/2010 23:35

but the wrapper is crap so 2 prefolds wouldn't work. What wraps are better than cotton bottoms?

have you tried a stuffed little lamb???it was my first night nappy before I found wee notions night notions and it never leaked, just layered it with hemp/bamboo inserts. Wool or fleece are good as wraps, fleece is cheaper, but not much good if your little one sleeps in one position all night. There are pockets you can use at night that would not require a wrap.
Here is a link to a thread on a website devoted to nappies, lots of second hand ones always for sale in the classifieds, hope this helps

I came across a site doing nappies for 10 for £55 a day or two back. rah trading I think it was. Something like that anyways. Seemed like a bargain.

I like 2 bamboo squares, folded together with a wool soaker or longies. Never fails and wool is so much cooler than PUL!

MadameCheese, My boy is a huge wee-er and he uses Tots Bots bamboo nappies (Size 2 - he's now 4 months and 6.5kg) with a fleece liner inside (wicks the moisture away from bum), a Little Lambs Bamboo Booster OUTSIDE the nappy (inside the wrap) and a Tots Bots Size 2 wrap over the lot. No leaks and I don't need to change him between 7pm and 7am! No sore bums, either.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I got my nappies second-hand in good condition of usednappies.co.uk; got my Little Lambs bamboo boosters off Amazon for a good price, and the Tots Bots wraps off ebay for a good price. Made the fleece liners myself from white fleece.
