Anyone had leaky bumgenius FLIP wraps?

I've been using the flip inserts and wraps since February and have been really pleased

  • no problems at all. Over the last couple of weeks dd often has a wet vest and trousers and I convinced myself that it must be a bit of the nappy liner sticking out and wicking out the wee. (although I doubted this as I'm really careful with the paper liners). Anyway today I had dd with just a vest on as it was hot and when I picked her up her vest was wet at the front and there was a 50p sized wet patch on the front of the wrap. I'm going to take this wrap out of circulation to see if it's just this one or more of them. What would you expect as a normal life-span for a wrap?

Hi
i use the BG flips for when we are out and about and i had a bit of an issue with leaking (although DS seems to be quite a heavy wetter) I tend to prefer the stay dry inserts rather than the paper ones (i only get about an hour out of these) so i started adding one of the doubler inserts of the regular BG's underneath the stay dry insert and this lasts about 2.5 - 3 hours now.

I dont know if youre supposed to do this but it seems for work for us

Does sound like you may have a faulty wrap if the outside of it was wet.

I like the Flips, but only with the cotton insert. The disposable inserts especially are useless.

I'm using the stay dry inserts with a paper liner to catch poo. I agree the flip disposables are truly crap and barely last an hour.
